On Friday 26 July, in the Giardino dei Semplici at the Sacro Monte in Orta San Giulio, the exhibition ‘ambiente in mostra’ (environment on show) will be inaugurated, dedicated to ongoing environmental projects on Lake Orta and Mottarone.

The programme includes:

At 4 p.m. free activities for children, families and curious people of all ages to discover the fantastic world of the bees that populate our gardens! together with the guide of Davide Zaccheo of Discovery Alto Piemonte and his educational beehive we will try to answer some questions: how is honey produced? How does beekeeping work? Do changes in the environment influence honey production?

At 5.30 p.m., the ‘natura celata’ meeting in the Sacro Monte conference hall by Fiorella Mattioli Carcano, president of the Cusius Historical Association, who will lead a conference on herbs, plants and their properties.

At 6.30 p.m. the inauguration of ‘ambiente in mostra’ and the presentation of the ‘sentinelle del lago’ (sentinels of the lake) certificates to those who have been trained in one of the projects described in the exhibition.
